Privacy Policy
Last updated: [date]
This policy explains what personal information Krub collects through krub.app, why, and what your rights are. Krub is run by [your full name or registered company name] ("we", "us"), [trading address]. You can contact us at [your email address].
We are the "data controller" for the information described below, under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
1. What we collect
- Waitlist form: your name, mobile number, trade, and a record that you agreed to be contacted.
- When you subscribe: your name, contact details and billing details. Card payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you contact us: the messages and details you send us.
- Basic technical data: like your IP address and browser type, which our hosting provider logs to keep the site working and secure.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To text or contact you about Krub opening and available spots. Basis: your consent.
- To set up and run your subscription, take payment and give you support. Basis: performing our contract with you.
- To keep records for tax and accounting. Basis: legal obligation.
- To keep the site secure and improve it. Basis: our legitimate interests.
3. Texts and marketing
We only send marketing texts to people who have agreed to them. Every message tells you how to opt out, and you can also contact us at any time to stop them. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about your subscription.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run Krub, and only what they need:
- Stripe, for payments.
- Our form provider [e.g. Formspree / Supabase], to receive waitlist sign-ups.
- Our text messaging provider [name], to send you messages.
- Our hosting provider [e.g. Cloudflare / Google], to serve the website.
- Google Fonts, which delivers the fonts on this site and so receives your IP address when the page loads.
We may also share information where the law requires it. Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where they are, we rely on safeguards such as the UK's approved transfer mechanisms.
5. Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
6. How long we keep it
- Waitlist details: until you ask us to remove them, or for up to [12] months after the last contact.
- Customer and billing records: for as long as you are a customer, then up to 6 years for tax and accounting.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to: see the information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and give you a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. To do any of this, email [your email address]. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
8. Customer data inside the Krub app
If you subscribe, you will store your own customers' details in Krub. For that data you are the controller and we act as your processor. We will publish separate terms covering that before you start using the app for live customer data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
